Extreme Trade Updates (4/24/18)
April 24, 2018On April 10, 2018, we recommended three trades ideas, each of which is already beginning to move.
Facebook (FB) stock at $158.50
Facebook May 2018 165 calls at $5.25 (exited half on April 17, 2018)
Shares of Facebook last traded at $162.06 after pulling back from recent highs. Earnings are out tomorrow. So things could get a bit interesting. Hold the FB stock and the second half of the FB May 165 calls. We may look to cash out shortly.
Activision Blizzard (ATVI) at $66.25
ATVI May 2018 65 calls at $3.85 (exited half on April 17, 2018)
ATVI is still oversold at $66.57. We’d like to see a near-term test of $69 a share. Hold the stock and the second half of the ATVI May 2018 65 calls.
PayPal Holdings (PYPL) at $75.90
PYPL May 2018 75 calls at $4.25 — exited trade for a win
We already exited the PYPL May 2017 75 calls for solid wins. Let’s continue to hold the underlying stock. However, if it begins to break below its 50-day moving average, we may look to sell the stock and buy a put option.
On April 17, 2018, we recommended the following for trade on April 18, 2018:
Buy the TWLO stock, which opened at $41.41
Buy to open TWLO July 20, 2018 42 calls, which opened at $3.80
Shares of TWLO pushed to $41.25 and remain on hold at this point. While the stock is a bit over-extended here, we’re looking for a push through overhead resistance to potentially test $45 a share. Hold.
Buy the WTW stock, which opened at $67.66
Buy to open the WTW July 20, 2018 70 calls, which opened at $6.50
WTW is also pushing higher, last trading at $69.80. We have a near-term price target of $70. Sit tight.
Buy the TWTR stock, which opened at $31.67
Buy to open TWTR June 15, 2018 32 calls, which opened at $2.93
After a solid run to $33 a share above its 50-day, TWTR is seeing some selling pressure at the moment. Should the stock break below $29.50, we’ll look to sell.
